KELLY HUFF

Teaching Locations: South Broadway, Tennyson and Crow’s Nest

Kelly Huff grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and began playing competitive golf at a young age. He worked on his game under the instruction of various Top 100 instructors across the Southeast.  This high level of instruction cultivated his passion for teaching golf and helping others enjoy the game. While navigating his career path in the golf industry, Kelly became a private pilot. His love for physics and how things move in the air is evident in his teaching style. Kelly worked and taught at clubs in Atlanta while constantly picking the brains of top instructors and studying different styles of golf swings. He sought information from many different outlets, including certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, California. Kelly became the Director of Instruction at Eagle’s Landing Country Club where he assisted in founding and building a teaching academy. At Eagle’s Landing, he set up junior camps and taught all skill levels of golfers and realized the importance of data and analytics for game improvement.

Kelly then had aspirations of opening his own indoor teaching facilities utilizing Trackman technology, the gold standard for golf swing and ball flight analysis. After settling on Denver, Kelly focused on learning the intricacies of Trackman technology and became proficient in data analysis to compliment his current knowledge of the golf swing. South Broadway Country Club opened in 2017, and Kelly’s versatile teaching philosophy and understanding of the golf swing allowed him to quickly became one of the most sought after instructors in the Denver area.

Kelly’s teaching philosophy is based around rotation of the body and getting the club on the proper shallow plane. There are many ways to do this with different body types and athletic abilities. Increasing club speed, understanding shot shape and trajectory, and dialing in distance control with wedges are paramount to game improvement.
